welcome to Northern Liberties

Appropriate for a neighborhood that’s seen more than its share of new construction and renovation in the last several years, Simple Kitchen and Bath recently opened its doors in a warehouse on North 3rd Street. As you might suspect, this new business makes its hay designing custom kitchens and bathrooms, and selling unique fixtures for them. A fine representation of the owners’ wisdom in opening at 817 North 3rd St. is the large new apartment building currently under construction across the street.

According to their website, Simple Kitchen and Bath carries well-known brands such as Aster Cucine, designs from Steuler, and Inax USA. Its products cover everything a kitchen or bathroom could require and they operate under the idea that one can combine utility with fashion in these rooms. In fact, a video posted on the Simple Kitchen and Bath web page demonstrates how fashion and interior design can go hand in hand.

With the Piazza attracting droves of visitors each week and so much development still ongoing in the area, we expect that they will do a tidy business in this location. With so many unique architectural examples in the neighborhood, it would be cool indeed to see some interesting interiors to with them.

Why do you think they will do well? It all depends on their price points. The development has been well underway in NLs for 7+ years and established builders already have their suppliers and design centers that they use. Maybe this spot will attract high-end homeowners looking to re-do their homes.

What suppliers do you like? I am looking into updating 2 units kitchens and want to see who else is out there.
